🎨🎭 Calling All Creatives, Performers Coaches! 🥁⚽
Readers 2 Leaders Academy is looking for passionate volunteers to share their talents with young minds!
Are you someone who loves:
🎵 Music – Drumming, singing, or rhythm movement?
🎨 Art – Painting, coloring, sculpting, or crafts?
🎭 Theater – Storytelling, drama games, or character play?
⚽ Sports Movement – Fitness games, yoga, or coordination skills?
We’d love to invite you to join our Creative Electives Program , where local talent meets early childhood education!
We're looking for volunteers or part-time instructors to visit once a month (or more) and lead engaging, age-appropriate sessions for our amazing little learners (ages 2–5).
This is a perfect opportunity if you:

✅ Are passionate about your craft and want to inspire the next generation
📍 Located in Petersburg, VA
🗓️ Flexible scheduling (monthly visits or more)

Duties

🌟 What You'll Do

• Visit our center once a month for 3–4 hours
• Lead a fun, age-appropriate activity in an area you love:
• 🎵 Music | 🎨 Art | 🎭 Theater | ⚽ Sports | 🧘 Dance | ✂️ Crafts | 🧪 STEAM
• Work with small groups (2–8 children) in a warm and safe environment
• Choose your age group and design your session with our support
• Let us know at least 1 week in advance if you need supplies— we can provide them or you’re welcome to bring your own

Requirements

👶 Who We're Looking For

• Volunteers ages 16+ , no experience required—just passion and patience!
• High school students, college students, retirees, educators, artists, community leaders— ALL are welcome
• Must be able to pass a background check
• Availability Monday through Friday 10-12 PM 2-4 PM
• Must be comfortable engaging with young children in a creative, structured environment
