INTERNSHIP SUMMARY:

The ATS Training and Development Team is looking for a summer intern to support video production and editing for our growing library of training content. This internship offers a unique opportunity to develop your skills in video recording and editing while working on exciting projects that impact our audience and help advance technical employee development.

As a Video Production Intern, you will work closely with our Training team to record and edit raw video footage. This position will offer the opportunity to work on a variety of different projects and build your portfolio as a video producer and content creator.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with the video production team, content writers, and marketing specialists to understand the objectives and requirements of each video project.
  • Support video recording for subject matter experts, including screen recordings, “talking-head” recordings, interviews, and voiceover recording.
  • Edit raw video footage to produce high-quality, engaging content using editing software.
  • Ensure all edited videos align with the company's brand guidelines and quality standards.
  • Incorporate graphics, animations, and other visual elements to enhance the overall video production.
  • Research and gather visual assets, such as stock footage, images, and music, to enhance video projects.
  • Support and direct internal voiceover recordings, as well as help with assist in script development as needed.
  • Assist with video file management and organization.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in video editing and digital media production

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Pursuing or have recently achieved a degree or certification related to Marketing, Communications, Film or Media Production, or related area of study.
  • Previous experience in video editing or production in professional, educational, or hobby setting is required.
  • Proficiency in video editing software such as Camtasia (preferred), Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, Davinci Resolve, Video Pad, or similar.
  • Strong creative and storytelling skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with others and work as part of a creative team.
  • Ability to work independently to follow project objectives and meet deadlines in a professional environment.
  • A passion for digital media production and a desire to learn and grow in the field
  • Pay ranges from $21-$28 per hour depending on experience

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This is an office position at our Renton location. Very occasional remote work opportunities may be available depending on project requirements.

This position involves working in an office environment with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Small repetitive motion with mouse and keyboard are required.

COMPENSATION:

  • Pay ranges from $21-$28 per hour depending on experience

POSITION TYPE AND HOURS:

  • Temporary position beginning June 2024 with flexible end-date
  • Full-time work schedule is preferred, but we are open to considering a part-time schedule for the right candidate
  • Monday – Friday 8am-5pm
