The Tallmadge Civil Service Commission will give a test for the position of Garage Mechanic for the City of Tallmadge Public Service Department
Test Date: June 5, 2024
Test Time: 6:00 p.m.
Location: Tallmadge Municipal Building 46 North Avenue
Application Fee: A $20 application fee is payable in cash or Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express in the Payment Center at the Tallmadge Municipal Building lower level. Payment can be made over the phone by calling the Civil Service Office . Checks are not acceptable. Application fee is non-refundable.
Ø AAn application along with the receipt as proof of payment will be accepted in the Civil Service office at 46 North Avenue.
Ø DDeadline to file an application with receipt is set at 12:00 noon May 30, 2024
Ø AAn application will not be accepted after the deadline no exceptions.
Ø AAn application that is mailed must be received by the deadline along with proof of payment, regardless of the postmark.
Ø AAfter submitting your application with your receipt, there will be no further notification.
Qualifications: Applicant must have a minimum of two years experience in vehicle maintenance and repair of gasoline and diesel-powered equipment. A current A.S.E. Certification for general automotive mechanic and general heavy-duty truck mechanic is preferred. Must possess a Class A Commercial Driver s License with an acceptable driving record. Must possess standard mechanic tools and a rollaway toolbox for own use. An individual who poses a direct threat to the health and safety of him/herself or others in the workplace will be deemed not qualified for this position. Applicants must reside in Summit County or in a county that has a contiguous border with Summit County.
