• Establish and maintain strategic relationships with OEM partners and national suppliers.

• Negotiate and manage corporate-level supply contracts, leveraging economies of scale across the network.

• Oversee compliance with vendor terms, delivery timelines, and service quality standards.

Team and Cross-functional Leadership:

• Lead and develop a geographically dispersed team of buyers supporting over a dozen labs.

• Foster collaboration with lab managers, operations leaders, and finance to align supply chain strategy with operational goals. Lead and mentor lab shipping and receiving professionals on a dotted line basis, providing guidance and support.

• Ensure cross-departmental coordination for forecasting, procurement planning, and demand management of lab supplies and ancillary equipment.

Operational Excellence and Compliance:

• Design and implement process improvements to streamline logistics and procurement workflows.

• Prepare and present reports on logistics and procurement performance and strategic initiatives to senior management.

• Lead system optimization efforts related to SIMCO’s Enterprise systems.

• Develop and manage budgets for logistics operations, tracking expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.

• Ensure regulatory compliance and documentation for all logistics and purchasing activities.
