smartdept. is searching for a Web Designer with strong UX expertise to lead the redesign of our luxury client's website. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience. This is a fully remote contract opportunity. In this role, you’ll be responsible for crafting visually engaging layouts while mapping out intuitive user journeys and interaction paths. We’re looking for someone who can balance creative design with a deep understanding of user experience, ensuring every element guides visitors seamlessly toward their goals. You’ll collaborate closely with our development partner, focusing on front-end design and user flow while they handle backend coding. You will be the visionary steward of the brand’s visual identity, shaping every creative touchpoint to embody an ultra-luxe aesthetic, resonating with the world’s most discerning travelers. This role demands an understanding of luxury brand nuances. What You’ll Do: Website Design: Refine and elevate imagery to reflect ultra-luxury travel. Design compelling website elements with attention to detail. Create a homepage, supplement pages, a scalable design system, component library, and responsive header and footer. Incorporate the luxury brand into visual storytelling, ensuring responsiveness across devices. Collaborate on brand storytelling, apply SEO best practices, support visual and textual content, and provide website training or documentation for handoff. Focus on front-end design, user journey mapping, and seamless collaboration. Luxury Brand Storytelling: Translate brand ethos into a cohesive visual narrative emphasizing sustainable luxury, cultural authenticity, and transformative experiences. Consistency & Excellence: Adhere to brand guidelines, ensuring images reflect the ultra-luxe aesthetic. Collaboration: Work with marketing, CMO, and stakeholders to align design with marketing and business objectives. What You’ll Need: 5+ years of web design experience, preferably with luxury branding or high-net-worth clientele.
