JOB SUMMARY
Giant Noise is seeking a versatile and experienced Videographer to join the creative team. This role combines strategic video production with hands-on editing expertise, creating compelling video across both organic social media and paid advertising campaigns. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced agency environment and can seamlessly pivot between polished, high-production work and authentic, scrappy organic content that drives engagement.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Video Production & Strategy

  • Conceptualize, shoot, and edit video content for diverse client campaigns spanning organic social media, digital advertising, and brand storytelling
  • Lead video projects from initial brief through final delivery, ensuring alignment with client objectives and brand guidelines
  • Collaborate with creative directors, art directors strategists, and account teams to develop video concepts that solve business challenges
  • Direct talent and coordinate production logistics for shoots ranging from studio setups to guerrilla-style mobile content

Technical Expertise

  • Edit video content using industry-standard software (Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve)
  • Optimize content for various platforms and formats (Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, display advertising)
  • Manage color correction, audio mixing, video graphics, and visual effects to maintain high production standards
  • Stay current with platform specifications, algorithm changes, and emerging video trends

Client & Team Collaboration

  • Present creative concepts and rough cuts to clients, incorporating feedback while maintaining creative integrity
  • Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on video best practices
  • Work closely with designers, copywriters, and strategists to ensure cohesive campaign execution
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Film, Media Production, Communications, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 4+ years of professional video production and editing experience in an agency or similarly fast-paced environment.
  • Portfolio demonstrating range across production styles, from high-end video work to mobile-first content.
  • Proven track record creating content for both organic social media and paid advertising campaigns.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Editing & Post-Production: Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects (required); experience with Final Cut Pro and DaVinci Resolve a plus.
  • Production Expertise: Skilled in camera operation, lighting, audio recording, and directing on set.
  • Motion Graphics: Knowledge of motion graphics and basic animation principles.
  • Platform Optimization: Understanding of social media platforms, unique video requirements, compression, codecs, and delivery specifications.
  • Creative Collaboration: Strong communication and presentation skills, with ability to incorporate client feedback while maintaining creative integrity.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and budgets simultaneously.
  • Professional Attributes: Detail-oriented, adaptable, collaborative, and confident working in a fast-paced environment.
 

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Physical Demands: Sitting 40% of the time, standing 60% of the time.
  • Working Hours: Typically, work hours are from 9:00 AM CST to 6:00 PM CST, Mondays through Fridays. Depending on the type of content, irregular hours may be required, including weekends and evenings, to accommodate clients' schedules or capture events as they occur.
  • Physical Ability: Ability to kneel, squat, or stand for extended periods to capture images. Capable of lifting 20-50 lbs. as necessary. 
  • Manual Dexterity: Regular use of hands and fingers for computer use.
  • Sensory Function: Everyday use of vision and auditory senses, including exposure to blue light from computers.
  • Environment: Work in various environments, including indoor environmentally controlled spaces, outdoor locations, depending on project requirements. Travel may be required for on-location shoots, covering events, or working on assignments in different regions.
  • Communication: Daily communication with peers, media, and clients is essential to the role.
  • Cognitive Demands: Ability to maintain cognitive thinking and logical reasoning throughout tasks and responsibilities.
