Job Details

• Assessment skills across Pediatric to Geriatric patients with competent knowledge of growth and development stages.
• Performs thorough, systematic, comprehensive, and accurate patient assessments.
• Consistently demonstrates competent clinical skills and provides appropriate nursing care to unit population.
• Maintains complete and accurate documentation including nursing process and patient education.
• Demonstrates professional practice responsibility and knowledge of policies and procedures.
• Responds professionally to patients, families, and co-workers promoting patient-centered care and teamwork.
• Follows National Patient Safety Goals including Universal Protocol and patient identification.
• Demonstrates knowledge of surgical patient conditions, procedures, and equipment; individualizes care accordingly.
• Contributes to perioperative team by prioritizing patient care and changes in condition.
• Assesses patient understanding of surgical procedures and provides pre- and postoperative education.
• Supports timely completion of patient testing and evaluates Pre Admission Testing orders for appropriateness.
