Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PICU night shift position in a hospital setting, requiring a CA RN license and at least 2 years of pediatric ICU experience.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Work in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) within a hospital environment
• Night shifts, three 12-hour shifts per week from 19:00 to 07:30
• Alternating weekend shifts are required
• Potential to float to Pediatrics or NICU depending on census needs
• Travelers may be required to float to other locations within the health system if census is low
• Epic EMR experience is preferred
• Responsible for delivering individualized patient care, patient and family education, and transitions of care
• Expected to foster collaborative relationships and communication with patients, families, physicians, and the healthcare team
• Only one holiday off will be approved during the assignment
• Candidates will complete orientation modules, typically requiring 1-5 hours
• Local candidates are accepted at a local pay rate

\n \n Requirements\n

• Active CA RN license required at time of consideration
• Current AHA certifications in BLS and PALS required
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a pediatric intensive care setting
• Must provide copies of all current certifications
• Must be able to complete lab work within 3-5 days of offer acceptance
• Return staff are eligible only if they have not worked within the health system as a traveler for at least 1 year
• Compliance with a 50-mile radius requirement
