This role involves educating, collaborating, consulting, and leading within the specialty area. The specialist will address complex patient care issues. They will offer guidance on the prevention and management of patient care practices. Duties include assessing educational needs and performance gaps. The role requires effective teaching and presentation skills. The specialist will facilitate personalized instruction to address individual learner needs. They will promote experiential learning and improvement in nursing education and practice. Providing clinical supervision for learners is also a key responsibility. The specialist will serve as a clinical resource and mentor to staff and students. Universal precautions and workplace safety requirements must always be followed. The position requires interaction with adult and geriatric patient populations. The daily census is relatively low, with a limited number of visits per day. Interdisciplinary support teams are available to enhance patient care. Preferred experience includes working in Trauma Level I or II facilities. This role may involve contact with patients who have communicable diseases. All employees are required to receive a flu vaccine with no exemptions.
