Job Title: Tow Truck Driver  

Reports to:BDC Manager / Service Manager 

Job Description: 

Responsible for picking up and delivering vehicles while providing the utmost customer service to both employees and customers. 

  1. Offer outstanding customer service.
  2. Meet and greet customers in a prompt professional manner upon arrival.
  3. Verify customers’ information for all pick up and deliveries.
  4. Answer guest questions upon completion of pick up or delivery back.
  5. Perform customer vehicle visual inspections and indicate damage before and after service/body shop appointment.
  6. Perform visual inspections of all loaner vehicles being released/delivered.
  7. Work along service advisors/estimators and service coordinators.
  8. Assist estimators and move vehicles as needed to designate within the shop.
  9. Communicating with a dispatcher, driving to the scene of an accident or breakdown, connecting the vehicle to the tow truck, and transporting it back to the shop or dealership.
  1. The driver will be responsible for attaching the disabled vehicle to the tow truck.
  2. Depending on the type of tow truck, this may include using a chain, winch, steering locks, and other devices as well as affixing lights onto the towed vehicle.
  3. Cleaning/Organizing around the shop.
  4. Assisting car wash/detail team to maintain the cleanliness of vehicles.
  5. Meet tow truck driver compliance required by insurance company.
  6. Drive to customers locations as directed by dispatch to pick up vehicle.
  7. Keep records of all trips. 
  8. Announce departures.
  9. Treat members of the public in a courteous and non-discriminatory manner. 
  10. Work in cooperative and professional manner with all personnel and conform to the company’s policy and non-discrimination and harassment.  
  11. Maintain professional demeanor when on the job. 
  12. Perform other tasks as assigned.

  1. Move new or used vehicles for customers. 
  2. Demonstrating new or used vehicles to potential customers. 
  3. New and used car repositioning on sales lots as required for display. 
  4. Other Driving as assigned.

Benefits:

Employees (and their families) are eligible for medical, dental, vision, short/long term disability and basic life/ AD&D insurance after 60 days of employment. Car Pros sponsors 80% of basic medical (Kaiser Permanente), dental and vision insurance for employees. Employees pay the additional cost for dependents and any voluntary elections.

Employees can enroll in company’s 401k plan after one year of service. Employees will accrual one-hour personal time off for every 30 hours worked.

Pay: $20/hr (experience preferred).
