Overview Spanish 1 Tutor role at Varsity Tutors, a Nerdy Company. The Varsity Tutors Live Learning Platform connects thousands of students nationwide seeking online Spanish 1 tutoring. As a tutor on the platform, you can set your own schedule, earn competitive rates, and make a real impact on students’ learning journeys—from home. What We Look For In a Tutor Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style. Expertise in Spanish 1 and the ability to explain concepts clearly. Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles. Priority given to those with tutoring experience, teaching experience, and graduate-level education. What You Will Do / Responsibilities Provide 1-on-1 online tutoring to individual students. Accept on-demand tutoring requests whenever you’re available. Compensation and How You Get Paid Base contract rates start at $18/hour and can increase for specialized subjects, with potential to earn up to $40/hour for continuing sessions with the same student. Get paid up to twice per week for tutoring sessions you conduct and invoice. Set your own hours and tutor as much as you’d like. Tutor remotely using Varsity Tutors’ Live Learning Platform—no commuting required. We handle logistics; you invoice for sessions and we process payments.
