A Senior Software Engineer job is currently available at Belcan in St. Louis, Missouri. This is a full-time, direct job with full benefits including eligible for overtime pay. The selected candidate will have an ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE and have experience working enterprise software development activities and have an Engineering or Computer Science degree. This position can also be worked out of the Mesa, AZ or Tukwila, WA locations.
Job Duties:
- We're seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Software Engineer to support a Senior Programmer Analyst position for one of our clients. You would be joining our Embedded and Enterprise Software team and work at an Enterprise Business Systems organization team in St Louis, US.
- The ideal candidate will work with the development, testing, and troubleshooting of and Enterprise System and excel at independently accepting and delivering business requirements within an agile methodology environment.
- Design and Analysis: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative software solutions and conduct thorough analysis and testing of software to ensure high-quality and efficient performance.
- Documentation: Assist with the documentation and maintenance of architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs for software systems.
- Integration and Testing: Develop and maintain code with integration of software components into a fully functional system and assist with test procedures and documentation of test results to ensure software system requirements are met.
- Project Management: Gather information to support software project management, document deployed processes and tools, and collect metrics.
- Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve any software issues that may arise.
- These duties are essential for ensuring that software systems meet the requirements and deliverables set by project managers and stakeholders. The role also involves mentoring and providing guidance to junior engineers on software design and analysis techniques.
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience within IT with an emphasis in supply chain business processes and technologies including Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, Java, and JavaScript
- 3+ years of experience with Struts, Spring, and Hibernate
- Experience working and collaborating across different teams
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited course of study in information technology, computer science, data science, or other related field of study
- Due to the nature of the work performed, US Citizenship is a requirement
- Must have ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE to be considered for this opportunity!
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience with C# and/or VB.NET
- Experience with Unix and shell scripting
- Experience with Git source control
- Experience working independently and managing time effectively Tooling & Ecosystem
- Experience with artifact repositories (e.g., Artifactory, Nexus).
- Familiarity with feature flagging, canary deployments, and blue/green deployments.
- Exposure to AI/ML pipelines or data engineering workflows in cloud environments.
We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $115,000 to $205,000. Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
