Perceptyx is hiring a Senior Cloud Network Engineer to design, build, and support the network infrastructure that powers our cloud and internal systems. This role is responsible for maintaining secure, scalable, and highly available network solutions across AWS and on-prem environments. You'll manage core network services—including firewalls, DNS, and routing—and ensure performance, security, and uptime across both commercial and FedRAMP-compliant environments. 

What You'll Be Doing:

• Architecting and deploying reliable, scalable AWS network infrastructure (including VPCs, subnets, routing, Direct Connect, etc.)

• Working with advanced networking features like VPC peering, Transit Gateway, and network load balancers.

• Implementing network segmentation strategies for security and compliance using features like VPC Endpoints and AWS Network Firewall.

• Developing/ maintaining cloud security controls, including firewalls (with experience in Palo Alto and Cisco firewalls), encryption, identity and access management, and threat analysis.

• Automate the provisioning and management of cloud networking resources using IaC tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible.

• Setting up and maintaining monitoring/logging for network health and security.

• Collaborating with SRE, security, and app teams to align network infrastructure with broader system architecture.

• Staying current with AWS networking updates and contributing ideas for improvement.

• Participating in an on-call rotation for critical issues with the team (we provide 24/7 support in case of critical networking issues).

What We’re Looking For:

• 5+ years of experience building and running cloud networks (a strong focus in AWS and in SaaS environments).

• Solid knowledge of AWS networking services and how to stitch them together effectively (designing, implementing, and troubleshooting complex cloud networking solutions).
• Proficient in AWS networking services such as VPC, subnets, routing, security groups, VPN/Direct Connect, and advanced networking features.

• Hands-on experience automating cloud infrastructure with Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible to automate cloud networking provisioning.

• Strong understanding of network segmentation, cloud security best practices, and experience in implementing network-level security controls (e.g., firewalls, encryption, identity and access management, threat analysis).

• Familiarity with networking protocols and concepts (routing, load balancing, VPNs, and TCP/IP).

• Comfortable working with EC2, S3, Kubernetes, virtual machines, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Clear communicator who works well across teams troubleshooting.

• *** Bonus points for experience with FedRAMP compliance, Palo Alto, and Cisco firewalls.

 

Compensation:

Perceptyx is focused on equitable pay for all our staff and aims for transparency with our pay practices. The annual salary range for the role is $132,700.00 - $150,000.00 . The above range represents the expected base salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location.
