We are seeking a highly motivated Platform Engineer II / Full Stack Developer . The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in back-end development, including cloud platform engineering and container orchestration, and will possess a solid understanding of modern DevSecOps practices and cloud technologies. The Ideal candidate will have general experience in both traditional infrastructure provisioning of platform resources for existing infrastructure that ideally also has basic experience in emerging DevOps/DevSecOps & Modernized technologies focused on Cloud based technologies.

The Platform Engineer II/ Full Stack Developer would be involved with the implementation of AWS Cloud based technologies for our computing/network/storage systems and related software, as well as maintain operating systems and support the design and development of new modernized systems as needed.

What You Will Do

• You will leverage company and industry best practices and capabilities to Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications and tools
• You will Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins and Artifactory and Gitlab
• You will assist with integration of the selected platform provisioning tools such as Ansible or Terraform.
• You will utilize DevOps tools such as Jenkins and Artifactory as well as version control via use of Git and Bitbucket accordingly.
• You will optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
• You will participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires BS/BA Degree in Science, Technology Engineering Math (STEM) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or Physics and a minimum 3 years of related work experience
• Experience with programming languages (E.g. Python, Java, Ruby, Bash, C++, C#, Go)
• Experience with modernization technologies such as: Terraform/Ansible, Artifactory, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence, Sonarqube etc
• Current TS/SCI issued security clearance is required day 1. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience with microservices architecture
• Certifications in AWS, Kubernetes, or relevant technologies
• Experience with defining, designing and delivering new features
• Experience with Agile Development Methodologies (E.g. scrum, SAFe)
• Experience with Front end and Back-end web development
• Experience with AI coding assistant technologies

The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
