Job Description

Amazon internships are full-time positions, and interns should expect to work Monday-Friday, up to 40 hours per week typically between 8am-5pm. Specific team norms around working hours will be communicated by your manager. Interns should not have conflicts such as class or other employment during the Amazon work day.

Amazon MGM Studios is seeking bright, multitasking, dynamic, and self-motivated interns to work hard, have fun and make history with us this summer. The Amazon MGM Studios Internship Program gives interns hands-on experience working with the studio behind award-winning shows such as Rings of Power, Daisy Jones and The Six, Hazbin Hotel, Fallout and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. In addition to working closely with executives in our Culver City offices, interns have the opportunity to participate in guest speaker sessions, networking events and screenings.

The interns will work closely with the music coordinators on internal projects, support the executives on various project specific needs, and learn the ins-and-outs of the music process on either the Film or Series team.

Key job responsibilities

1. Assist with music-related tasks such as creating cue sheets, researching synchronization rights, and conducting PRO repertory searches for Amazon Studios productions.
2. Support the production process of award-winning shows and critically-acclaimed films, potentially including tasks related to script coverage, scheduling, or production coordination.
3. Participate in guest speaker sessions, networking events, and screenings to gain industry exposure and insights.
4. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion while working on projects related to Amazon Studios' shows and films.
5. Apply creative problem-solving skills and demonstrate excellent communication abilities across written, verbal, and interpersonal contexts in a fast-paced studio environment.

Minimum Requirements

1. Have an expected graduate date between October 2025 - September 2027.
2. Be able to work 40 hours/week and commit to a 12-week internship.
3. Are enrolled in a Bachelor's degree or above in Film and Television Production, Digital Media, Multimedia Arts, Audio Engineering, Visual Arts, Communications, Journalism, Graphic Design, or majors relating to these fields.
4. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Outlook and strong competency in Word and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Prior experience in the entertainment industry.
2. Possess excellent communication skills across written, verbal, and interpersonal contexts.
3. Exhibit effective planning, time management, organizational abilities, and high attention to detail.
4. Apply creative problem-solving skills to complex situations.
5. Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion with sensitive information.
6. Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment.
7. Prior experience in the following: music cue sheets, music synchronization rights, PRO repertory search, Airtable and/or advanced Excel, social media market research, Photoshop, and Mailchimp.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $40,529/year in our lowest geographic market up to $49,535/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
