Overview:
Mountain Ridge Country Club is seeking a vigilant, responsible, and dynamic individual to join our team as a Lifeguard for our private member pool. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to ensuring the safety and well-being of all our members and guests by preventing accidents, performing rescues, and providing first aid as necessary. This position requires a high level of attentiveness, excellent swimming skills, and the ability to enforce pool rules and regulations effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor swimming areas for rule violations, potential hazards, and unsafe conditions.
Perform water rescues and administer first aid/CPR as required.
Test water quality, adjust chemicals as needed, and maintain cleanliness around the pool area.
Educate pool users about safety practices and enforce pool rules and regulations.
Assist in the organization and execution of swimming lessons, aqua fitness classes, and special events.
Maintain accurate records of pool usage, chemical levels, maintenance activities, and incident reports.
Develop and implement emergency response plans.
Collaborate with club management and other staff to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all members and guests.
Qualifications:
Current lifeguard certification from a recognized authority.
Certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED.
Excellent swimming and water safety skills.
Previous lifeguarding experience is preferred but not required.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Must pass a pre-employment background check
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain vigilant and stand or sit for extended periods.
Ability to perform rescues and administer first aid as needed.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary
Salary: $15.13 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
