Indianapolis, IN for an to join our IT Security Organization as an IT Security Analyst Intern or Co-op.

Summary: The primary responsibility of our Information Security Operations Team is to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all our operations and data. This internship or Co-op experience as an analyst within our IT Security Operations team will provide you an opportunity to learn hands-on what it takes to protect an organization from cyber threats. You will be a member of a high-performance team, learning and working hands on with experienced professionals on the front line of cybersecurity. By the end of this cybersecurity internship program, you will gain significant knowledge on cyber security incident response, security architecture, and data protection.
Responsibilities: - Work closely with the Allison IT Security Operations Team responding to cyber security related threats we face daily.
- Monitor the Allison environment for security issues.
- Investigate security cyber security related incidents.
- Assist with deployment of and operating security tools used to protect our systems and information infrastructure.
- Document security incidents and assess the damage they cause.
- Work with security team to perform tests to uncover vulnerabilities within our environment.
- Assist in remediating detected vulnerabilities to maintain a high-security standard.
- Stay current on IT security trends and news.
- Develop company-wide best practices for cyber security.
- Research security enhancements and make recommendations to management.
- Stay current on information technology trends and security standards.
Education Requirement: College undergraduate or graduate status with 1-3 years at an accredited college or university, pursing a degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Networking and Security, Computer Information Technology, or related field.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Required:
- No experience requirement - current enrollment in a 4-year undergraduate program with a preferred emphasis in Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Networking and Security, Computer Information Technology, or related field.
- Strong desire to learn about Cyber Security and Information Technology and ability to work in a team environment.
- Strong communication (written and verbal), problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Proficiency with computer operation, including Microsoft Office tools.
- Demonstrated knowledge of basic Cyber Security and/or Information Technology concepts corresponding with school year.
