Overall:
Play a critical role in ensuring the integrity, stability, and growth of all network services. Be Responsible for designing, configuring, testing, installing, and maintaining advanced networking equipment and services.
Provide expert-level Tier 3 & 4 support to the NOC
Lead the creation of comprehensive process and procedure documents to effectively manage our network assets

• Architect and implement network solutions using cutting-edge technologies including Active Ethernet, GPON, XGSPON, DWDM, CWDM, MetroE, CGNAT, OTDR, OLM, 802.11ac, and 802.11ax.
• Collaborate with multiple vendors such as Cisco, Ciena, Calix, Juniper, Nokia, SmartOptics, BTI, EXFO, and JDSU to integrate their technologies into network infrastructure.
• Strategically plan and execute network expansions to ensure scalability and availability.
• Install, configure, and test core network services and equipment to meet operational requirements.
• Provide expert-level Tier 3 & 4 support, serving as the primary responder during major network incidents.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, ensuring accuracy and accessibility for internal teams.
• Manage and update network equipment inventory to support efficient operations and budget planning.
• Conduct rigorous testing and verification of customer-facing services to guarantee quality and reliability.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend their adoption to enhance network capabilities.
• Act as a technical advisor, providing guidance and expertise to other departments
• Cultivate strong relationships with vendors and customers to facilitate effective collaboration and support.

R equirements

• Strong Nokia background on the IP routing side with recent experience.
• Exceptional proficiency in advanced technical troubleshooting, with a deep understanding of Cisco IOS and extensive experience with Cisco routers and switches.
• Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience as a Network Engineer or in an equivalent role within a Service Provider environment.
• Associate’s degree or equivalent educational background in a relevant field.
• Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP) and other industry-standard certifications (Network+, Security+) are highly preferred.
• Proficiency in Juniper OS and familiarity with Nokia IXR platform
