SUMMARY: This full-time position, reporting directly to the CFO, requires 100% in-person work at the corporate office, Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm. The role involves close collaboration with the C-Suite and Senior Management Team, including the Corporate Controller, VP of Operations and Senior Director of Contracts & Revenue. Key responsibilities include examining and interpreting financial data to inform strategic decision-making, working with the Finance Team implementing software, preparing and analyzing financial reports and forecasts, investigating budgetary discrepancies, leading special projects, and evaluating various scenarios to help management understand the potential impacts of business decisions and market conditions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Financial and Data Modeling: Develop and update financial models to forecast performance and evaluate business scenarios. Support annual budgeting and financial planning processes. Manage and ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and insightfulness of key performance indicator (KPI) reports for management.
- Rate Increase Applications: Prepare and submit applications for statewide and health and safety rate changes to but not limited to Regional Centers and the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) and other applicable states. This includes providing supporting documentation, ensuring regulatory compliance, and communicating proposals to internal management.
- Census Bureau Data Reporting: Collect and prepare accurate data from various sources. Manage the data submission process, including formatting and transmitting data files, and resolving any related issues or feedback.
- Insurance Management: Accurately complete and submit insurance applications. Manage and update existing policies, handle renewals or changes, and provide certificates to operations and landlords to ensure compliance.
- Lease Management: Oversee lease agreements, track important dates (e.g., renewals, expirations), and maintain accurate records. Assist in negotiating terms with landlords or tenants to achieve favorable outcomes for the organization while considering legal and financial factors.
- Business Licensing: Maintain accurate and organized records of all licensing documents, correspondence, and application statuses. Manage and track the renewal process for business licenses.
- Secretary of State Reporting: Prepare and file required reports, such as annual reports and corporate filings, with the Secretary of State. Monitor deadlines and compliance requirements to ensure timely and accurate submission.
- Audit Support: Assist auditors by gathering and preparing documentation, answering queries, and providing requested data (e.g., transaction records, internal control documentation).and addressing any issues or discrepancies identified during the audit.
- M&A Support: involves conducting detailed financial analysis and due diligence to support mergers and acquisitions (M&A) activities, including financial modeling, valuation, and analysis, to provide actionable insights and recommendations for strategic decision-making. Also, it includes preparing comprehensive fee analysis reports for M&A transactions to evaluate advisory, legal, and other transaction-related costs.
Other duties as assigned by the management team REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS - Software Proficiency:
- Mandatory: Prior experience with ERP systems, specifically NetSuite.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google applications, particularly Excel/Google Sheets.
- Financial & Regulatory Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Familiarity with Federal and State laws and regulations.
- Communication & Organization:
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of professional email etiquette.
- Research & Problem-Solving:
- Ability to efficiently research and locate resources online.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Work Ethic & Adaptability:
- Proven ability to maintain effective and professional working relationships.
- A quick learner, adaptable to fast-paced and evolving environments.

Education and Experience Minimum Education: - A Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Accounting or related field
Minimum Experience Required: - 2 years of experience in related fields to include data analysis, financial modeling and reporting.
- Experience in NetSuite is essential
- Knowledge of I/DD field is a plus but not required
Physical and Other Requirements - Frequent standing, sitting, twisting, reaching, walking, driving, grasping, talking, hearing and repetitive motions are required.
- This position will require a valid California Driver's License and current vehicle insurance. Candidates must successfully pass all pre-employment requirements, including but not limited to background check, physical, etc.
