Job Description

About the Company:

Join a leading, innovative specialty manufacturer based in Merced, CA, where the team prides themselves on delivering exceptional products, driving industry innovation, and fostering a supportive, collaborative environment. At this company, your professional growth and success are as important as the commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction. The firm is a key player in a privately held network of manufacturing locations across the U.S., providing both local and corporate support to help ensure your success in this critical role.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a highly motivated and forward-thinking Finance Manager to join the leadership team. In this pivotal role, you’ll oversee the financial operations at the Merced facility, with a strong focus on financial accuracy, compliance, and continuous process improvement. If you’re a CPA currently working in public accounting and seeking to transition into the private sector, this role offers an ideal opportunity to leverage your expertise while gaining exposure to a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Leadership: Oversee month-end close processes, ensuring the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, and delivering comprehensive presentations to senior leadership.
  • Compliance & Reconciliations: Manage balance sheet reconciliations, general ledger entries, and maintain strict compliance with all relevant financial regulations and internal policies.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Take ownership of budgeting processes, including quarterly and year-end financial reporting, providing insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Audit Readiness: Lead audit preparation efforts, ensuring compliance with regulatory and reporting standards, while collaborating closely with auditors.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a small but skilled accounting team, cultivating a results-oriented, collaborative culture that promotes professional growth and operational excellence.
  • Process Optimization: Continuously review and improve financial processes, implementing best practices in operational accounting to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Who You Are:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Licensure: CPA certification.
  • Experience: Demonstrated ability to manage financial processes within a manufacturing or related industry.
  • Skills: Strong technical accounting skills, attention to detail, and a passion for financial management. Exceptional communication, leadership, and time management abilities are key.
  • Adaptability: Ability to handle multiple priorities with a sense of urgency and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technology: Proficient in financial software and ERP systems, with advanced skills in MS Excel.

Why You’ll Love Working Here:

  • Competitive Salary & Growth Opportunities: A competitive salary, along with clear pathways for career advancement within our organization.
  • Comprehensive Benefits Package: Including medical, dental, vision, flexible spending account, vacation and sick leave, life and disability insurance, and a 401K plan to support your overall well-being.
  • Collaborative Culture: Work in a company that truly values its employees, offers a supportive work environment, and has a track record of low turnover.
  • Industry Leadership: Be part of a company recognized for its commitment to quality, innovation, and excellence within the manufacturing industry.

How to Apply:

If you’re ready to take on a leadership role in a thriving, innovative company, we’d love to hear from you! Please apply directly to this post. All inquiries will be handled confidentially, and qualified candidates will be contacted for an interview.
