Door/Frame/Hardware Estimator
Position Summary
Responsible for estimating/purchasing Door, Frame, Hardware packages for Commercial Construction projects.
Duties & Responsibilities
Review the contract documents and work with the salesperson to form strategies on what to bid and how to bid it
Manage risk by finding discrepancies and sending out the proper request for information to obtain the correct answers
Prepare detailed take-off and estimates using takeoff spreadsheet and ISEC estimating software, including material, freight, engineering, and installation costs
In addition to pricing DFH in house, obtain pricing from out-source vendors when applicable
Send out for manufacturer's quotes in a timely manner
Coordinate and price buyouts included with DFH items

Preferred Qualifications (in addition to minimum qualifications)
Education/Experience 2+ years experience in the Door, Frame, and Hardware Industry
Knowledge/Skills Knowledge of Microsoft Office
Ability to read blue prints and specifications
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Strong computer skills
Minimum Qualifications
Education/Experience High School Diploma or equivalent
At least 2+ years experience in the Door, Frame, and Hardware Industry
Knowledge/Skills Analytical and problem solving skills
Good written and verbal communication skills
Good organizational and time management skills
Good computer skills
Well organized and detail-orientated
Team player
