Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Officer

ProSidian seeks a Design Inspector | Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Officer (NDI7) [Key Personnel | Senior Consultant - Exempt 541611] located: CONUS - Washington, DC to provide nuclear and environmental management sector related risk management solutions for technical assistance to support design engineering inspections services on behalf of the U.S. NRC - HQ Acquisition Management Division (NRC) | The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC). These services are considered part of the ProSidian Energy, Infrastructure, and Environment Sector Group with overall focuses being Energy, Infrastructure, and Environment (EIE) Sector Group: Tailored Solutions to Meet Global Needs and Manage Resources across Energy, Infrastructure, and Environment in a Changing Environment. Under NAICS Code: 541690 - Other Scientific and Technical Consulting Services for the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) with services also characterized as Nuclear Risk Management.

Provide services and support as a Nuclear Design Inspections (Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Officer) in the Nuclear and Environmental Management Industry Sector focusing on risk management solutions for clients such as U.S. NRC - HQ Acquisition Management Division (NRC) | The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) located in CONUS - Washington, DC and across the Mid-Atlantic region region.

EHS Officers are responsible for ensuring environmental health and safety compliance during inspections. They develop and maintain safety protocols and training. EHS Officers play a pivotal role in ensuring environmental health and safety compliance during the inspection process. They are responsible for developing and maintaining safety protocols, procedures, and training programs that safeguard the well-being of personnel and the environment in nuclear facilities. This role includes conducting regular safety audits and risk assessments, identifying and addressing potential hazards, and implementing emergency response preparedness plans. EHS Officers stay well-informed about the ever-evolving environmental health and safety regulations and guidelines, ensuring that the organization remains in compliance. Collaboration with the team is essential in addressing safety concerns and maintaining a secure environment in nuclear facilities. Additionally, EHS Officers provide valuable recommendations for enhancing safety measures and promoting environmental sustainability within the nuclear industry.

Desired qualifications for Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Officer (NDI7) | Key Personnel | Senior Consultant - Exempt 541611 candidates:

5 years experience in environmental health and safety, especially in the nuclear industry.

Education/Experience Requirements:

A background in environmental health and safety and relevant experience in a technical or nuclear context.
