Environmental Compliance Specialist will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing programs that ensure businesses operate responsibly while meeting federal, state, and local regulations. This position offers the opportunity to influence policies, engage with key stakeholders, and drive meaningful environmental outcomes.

What You'll Do

In this role, you'll leverage your technical expertise and leadership to:

  • Provide actionable guidance on environmental protection and compliance issues to teams across all levels—Headquarters, regional, and field managers.
  • Interpret and apply federal, state, and local environmental regulations that impact businesses and industries.
  • Conduct cost analyses and prepare insightful reports on the economic impact of environmental programs.
  • Manage communication programs to educate teams on environmental regulations and policies.
  • Monitor and audit compliance through data-driven program assessments, ensuring alignment with laws and organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with regulatory agencies to address compliance issues and negotiate effective solutions.
  • Deliver presentations to senior leadership, sharing findings and recommendations on environmental strategies.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will bring a blend of experience, knowledge, and passion for environmental compliance:

  • Experience: At least six years of professional experience in environmental compliance.
  • Education:
  • A Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Environmental Sciences or Engineering, OR
  • A graduate degree in Law or Business Administration, combined with at least six years of environmental compliance experience.
  • Expertise: A comprehensive understanding of environmental laws such as the Resource Conservation Recovery Act, Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act, and more.
  • Skills: Strong project management abilities, including planning, budgeting, and delivering on time.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in industries like postal service, logistics, or transportation is a plus.
