Base pay range $63,093.33/yr - $85,626.66/yr Position: Digital Forensic Analyst Employment Type: Full-Time, Mid-Level Department: Forensics CGS is seeking a Digital Forensic Analyst focused on the preservation & collection of mobile device and cloud-stored data. The candidate should be fluent in forensic technologies and willing to take a primary role in a growing forensics department. The role involves travel for on-site collection and in-office work at the primary firm location, which includes the forensics lab and data center. Skills and attributes for success: Perform forensic data collection and analysis both on-site and remotely Coordinate with legal teams and client IT departments to understand project scope Maintain and update forensic tools regularly Work with project management and team members in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Develop, document, and refine forensic procedures Manage chain of custody in accordance with evidence rules Adhere to standard operating procedures and perform quality checks Complete additional duties as assigned, including general IT functions Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Digital Forensic Science, Computer Science, or related field At least 1 year of relevant experience with forensic lifecycle, evidence acquisition, and analysis Experience with industry-standard forensic tools (e.g., EnCase, Cellebrite, Oxygen, FTK Imager, MacQuisition, X1 Social Discovery, Logicube Falcon) Understanding of filesystems, mobile devices, and encryption Experience preserving data from desktops, laptops, mobile devices, servers, cloud sources, social media Effective communication skills, both verbal and written Willingness to travel, including international travel with a valid passport Self-starter with the ability to work independently and in teams Ability to document workflows and develop/train team members Strong troubleshooting skills Preferred qualifications include: Knowledge of EDRM Industry certifications (EnCE, CCE, GCFE, etc.) Experience with litigation support applications and scripting (PowerShell, SQL, etc.) Our Commitment CGS aims to streamline government operations through innovative technology and skilled personnel.
