About the Role: We are seeking a passionate and motivated individual to lead community fundraising and outreach efforts in the Bay Area. This role is focused on supporting social welfare, healthcare, and children’s initiatives by building strong relationships within the local Indian/Hindu community. The position offers a chance to create meaningful impact while engaging in cultural, spiritual, and nonprofit activities. Key Responsibilities: Donor Engagement: Identify, connect, and maintain relationships with donors, community leaders, and well-wishers. Event Participation: Represent the organization at major cultural and community celebrations such as Diwali, Navratri, Ganapati, and Holi. Activities may include distributing materials, coordinating presentations, and speaking opportunities. Community Outreach: Organize small gatherings, Bhajan Sandhyas, or info sessions to build awareness and foster connections with potential supporters. Travel Liaison: Build partnerships with local travel agents to connect with individuals traveling to India, and encourage them to visit welfare initiatives during their stay. Awareness Building: Promote the mission and impact of welfare projects through presentations, leaflets, and personal networking. Ideal Candidate Profile: Indian origin, with prior experience in fundraising or community engagement (temples, trusts, NGOs, or nonprofit organizations preferred). Established presence or strong network within the Bay Area Indian community. Comfortable engaging with large groups as well as one-on-one with donors.
