As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in our mission to prevent foot complications related to systemic conditions such as diabetes and peripheral vascular disease. You will assist in trimming and cleaning nails, reducing calluses, removing ingrown toenails, nail removal, freezing plantar warts, and providing certain types of wound care.

Job Responsibilities:

• Patient Hx –Document medical history on patient’s account/chart.

• Vitals – Take and document patient vitals into the patient’s account/chart.

• Patient Education – Educate/Explain treatment procedures to patients.

• Patient Prep.– Prepare patients for examination.

• Injections – Administer injections.

• Lab Work– Perform lab work as needed (Ex. Draw Blood).

• Prep Exam Room – Clean and prepare examination room prior to the patient’s

appointment.

• NP Assistant– Assist the Nurse Practitioner during exams as needed.

• Patient Checkout– Instruct patients about medications as directed by Nurse Practitioner and arrange patient referrals to Doctors/Specialist.

• Prescriptions - Authorize prescription refills as directed.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Medical Assistant preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
