Class A CDL Driver with at Least 2 Years' Experience. Home most nights with a chance of one or two OTR runs returning the next day.

Monte Package Company, a division of Bunzl, is seeking a Class A CDL Driver (OTR). The Driver will transport products in a safe manner by following proper DOT regulations. As the face of the company, the Driver will deliver products to customers on time while providing excellent customer service.

A Day in the Life:

Responsibilities:

\n
• Operates tractor-trailer combination in a safe and professional manner at all times 
\n
• Delivers products to customers on time, while providing complete customer service
\n
• Transfers materials and items from trailer to dock area or other designated area by hand, hand truck, manual pallet jack, or electric pallet jack
\n
• Backhauls as required
\n
• Maintains DOT logs daily and complies with all other DOT procedures/regulations  
\n
• Conducts pre-trip and post-trip inspections of tractor and trailer units, in compliance with DOT regulations
\n
• Maintains a clean, organized and safe work environment
\n

  Requirements:

\n
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
\n
• Must have a valid CDL Class A license with Doubles/Triples endorsements a plus 
\n
• Minimum 2 years' experience in commercial transportation 
\n
• Ability to operate a tractor-trailer in a safe and efficient manner
\n
• Possess knowledge of all applicable State and Federal DOT regulations
\n
• Capacity to read and correctly interpret route manifests and invoices
\n
• Ability and willingness to work varying routes and required overtime as assigned by Supervisor
\n
• Must be able to lift heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation (occasionally 60-75 lbs)
\n
• Previous experience with an Automatic On-Board Recording Device (AOBRDs) such as SAMSARA is preferred
\n
