About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its mission-focused community. The CFO will be a key strategic partner, responsible for the financial health and operations of the organization. This role involves providing leadership in financial management, overseeing the Business Office team, and collaborating with the Head of School, Senior Administrative Team, and Board of Trustees. The successful candidate will be tasked with managing the Academy's finances, including budget development, financial modeling, and ensuring the integrity of financial systems. Additionally, the CFO will be involved in long-term financial planning, and will have the opportunity to shape the future of the organization through innovative and creative problem-solving.
Applicants for the CFO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree, with a preference for an Accounting degree or CPA, and 5-10 years' of senior-level experience in financial planning and management. Experience in an independent school or non-profit setting is preferred. The role requires a proven track record in team management, organizational change, and the ability to communicate complex financial information effectively. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, adept at problem-solving, and have a compassionate approach to interacting with the school community.
