Our Summer Internship Program offers endless ways to explore careers through an immersive 10-week, well-rounded paid program that encourages students to bring their passions and insights to work. Most importantly, the program acts as a pipeline for future opportunities. CBS News Miami interns will learn the fundamentals of broadcast and digital journalism. Assist assignment desk with news gathering duties including how to find potential stories, research stories of the day and cover breaking news. Work with show producers to help build newscasts. Support and observe reporters in the field. Learn basic writing, shooting, editing skills. Observe and participate in the production of the live on-air newscast. Write stories for digital and streaming. Assist in any administrative tasks. Internships are available to students who will be Juniors, Seniors or Master's students in the fall of 2025. If you are a graduating Senior, please check our website for full-time job opportunities closer to your graduation date. You must be available to intern full-time (5 days a week/36-40 hours a week) for 10 weeks total starting in June. Interns will be required to work hybrid or fully on-site for the duration of the program. Internships are paid at a competitive standard hourly rate (school credit is optional).
