Job Description

CULTA proudly grows all of its own cannabis on our Cambridge, Maryland campus and sells these cultivated products in our flagship dispensary store in Baltimore, Maryland and our other associated dispensaries in Columbia and Urbana. CULTA's award winning products are also sold to other partner dispensaries throughout the state. Our name has become synonymous with quality, and we could not be more proud! CULTA is currently looking for a Brand Ambassador to join our Sales team. The Brand Ambassador will carry out a series of event activities that contribute to brand building, customer/partner relationship management and lead generation efforts. The events will include a variety of activations such as dispensary partner celebrations, music concerts, community festivals, dispensary pop-ups, retail education, employee events, education webinars, campus tours and patient registration.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Identify, execute and measure internal and external in-person and virtual events that support marketing and sales initiatives. Source event volunteers, celebrities, speakers, swag, food, merchandise, etc and manage costs towards budget. Hire and manage freelance photographers and videographers. Collaborate with internal teams from Marketing, Sales, Operations and Compliance teams to ensure compliance and corporate alignment. Promote activation of events using a combination of dispensaries, social, influencers, email, text, website, TV and other channels with the objective of driving attendance and engagement. Manage the activation of scheduled events, assist with the setup and breakdown of event materials and production elements including lights, tents and generators. Manage the event sales of CULTA-branded merchandise. Collaborate with partner dispensaries to support CULTA wholesale initiatives via in-person and virtual budtender training, product education, vendor days, swag fulfillment and merchandising displays. Conduct pre-event briefs, not limited to attendee surveys, analytics, lessons learned, summary of costs and sales, and go-forward recommendations. Knowledge of local on- and off-premise cannabis market, including local laws and statutes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree preferred, high school diploma or GED equivalent required. Must have at least 2-4 years work experience in event marketing and brand work. Internal and external events will require availability and travel for night/weekend work during non-traditional hours. Must be able to work onsite as needed. Must possess valid driver's license and be comfortable driving tow-behind recreational vehicles. Must pass required background checks set by CULTA, be approved by the state badging agency and remain in compliance with the Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission (MMCC) industry regulations. Must be comfortable with in-person events and thrive in fast-changing environments. Previous cannabis, liquor and tobacco field marketing and sales experience is a plus. Proficient with technology and familiar with HubSpot, Google Analytics & social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram.
