Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Bookkeeper to join our team in Asheville, North Carolina. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a close-knit and collaborative environment, with a strong focus on accuracy and efficiency in financial operations. As part of a growing organization, you will play a key role in managing AP & AR while ensuring seamless bookkeeping processes.
Responsibilities:
• Process and categorize invoices and ensure accurate integration with QuickBooks Online.
• Monitor and manage accounts payable, including preparing payments for approval and tracking transactions.
• Oversee accounts receivable by following up on outstanding invoices and maintaining accurate transaction logs.
• Assist in the preparation and distribution of recurring invoices, ensuring timely payments from clients.
• Collaborate with the controller to support reconciliations and other financial reporting tasks.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records to support the company’s accounting processes.
• Provide periodic updates on outstanding payments and financial statuses to relevant stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards in all bookkeeping activities.
• Contribute to the team’s culture by fostering effective communication and collaboration across departments.
• Support ad hoc financial tasks as needed to ensure smooth operations.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or a related role.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online
• Strong understanding of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Ability to manage recurring invoices and follow up on outstanding payments.
• Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively within a team.
• Familiarity with basic financial reporting and reconciliation processes.
• Ability to work onsite five days a week, with occasional flexibility as needed
