AIR EXPORT SPECIALIST

We are seeking an Air Export Specialist with two to three years of hands-on experience in Air Export operations. The ideal candidate should possess a comprehensive understanding of international shipping regulations, demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, and excel as a collaborative team member. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating air export shipments, ensuring compliance with customs regulations, and delivering exceptional service to our clients.

J ob Responsibilities:

• Ensuring smooth and efficient export processes from A-Z, including booking, tracing shipment from pick-up to delivery, AES filing, ensuring export compliance, and coordinating shipments with origin, airline carriers, and truckers.

• Ensure all air export shipments comply with international regulations. Prepare accurate shipping documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and export declarations, utilizing Air Export Gateway tools.

• Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries, resolving issues, and keeping clients informed about the status of their shipments.

• Coordinate with airlines and freight forwarders to secure space for export shipments and negotiate competitive rates.

• Engage in in-depth communications with overseas agents, airline representatives, freight forwarders, local pickup and delivery companies, and other relevant stakeholders. Ensure timely responses to emails and requests.

• Stay updated with customs regulations and ensure all export shipments adhere to customs requirements and documentation standards. Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and tariffs.

• Manage accurate and timely billing for all air export shipments, ensuring financial transactions are processed efficiently.

• Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

• Efficiently resolve issues within Air Export Gateway systems, ensuring seamless operations and client satisfaction. Escalate complex problems when necessary.

• Perform any other duties assigned by the Department Manager, contributing to the overall success of the department and the company.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred

• Minimum 3 years of experience in air export operations is required

• Previous experience in air freight logistics and distribution is essential

• Customer service oriented

• Experience in handling bonded freight and cargo shipments

• Ability to approach challenges with a proactive problem-solving mindset

• Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in documentation and processes

• Ability to listen attentively to client needs and concerns

• Polite and professional phone manners when dealing with clients and stakeholders

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Word and MS Excel

Knowledge of state, federal, and international applicable laws and regulations as they relate to primary services provided (i.e., customs, security, and other import and export government agencies)
